Sparking a global gold rush to promote the launch of Xbox’s Sea of Thieves.

Gamers competed across real and digital worlds to win a bunch of 18-carat gold bananas worth £80,000. 30,000+ players participated in the treasure hunt by solving clues – designed by Steve Whitingham and I – that were revealed via a game character we brought to life in live action content. Fans were sent across the seven seas (and digital platforms) to be the first to solve it all and win the Golden Bananas, that were forged into their final fruity shape by London goldsmiths Smith & Harris.
